Cinnamon cabinets, nutmeg and vanilla floor tile
patterns, the addition of the middle school to the
high school created a need for another Family
Consumer Science (FCS) classroom. The middle school
students would use the existing FCS classroom. A
former science classroom was renovated into a new
FCS classroom for the high school students. Six
kitchenettes were created. Renovation work allowed
for creating a handicap accessible height kitchenette.
I was most happy with the ways Allers and Associates worked within a framework of projected available funds in guiding the committee to look at alternate materials and building processes, while not losing quality.
